About Nate
Please join us for praying for Nate Oxford. He is one courageous little three year old boy. His mom and dad, Wes and Jackie, started noticing that he was complaining of headaches and that he was throwing up in the mornings off and on for a couple of weeks. They went to the doctor and when the doctor was unable to come up with a reason for his symptoms, they headed to a local children’s hospital for testing the week before Christmas, thinking that he had reflux issues, or at worse a stomach ulcer. They found out after a MRI that Nate did not have reflux or an ulcer, but instead they heard the news that no parent wants to hear, Nate had tumors on his brain and his spine. He just turned three years old in February. Please leave comments of encouragement and prayers for the Oxfords.

ReplyDeleteNate, i've asked all my 500+ friends on Facebook to share a prayer asking God to help you heal very soon. I've not met you in person, but know that you are an incredible kid who is ready for a full chance at life. The healing hand of God will keep you well. I've been down that road myself and the power of prayer gave me strength. Huge hug to you buddy...

ReplyDeleteDear Nate, I heard about you at work (BCBSTX) and I'm praying for you today.
ReplyDeleteDear Oxford Family,
ReplyDeleteMy household prays for your family, especially Nate, regularly. We have met you briefly once but see you out around town at the library for story time, at school and other places. We don't approach you but look on with smiles and warmth. I hope you feel the love we send your way. You probably don't know us but as you go through each step of each day please know that you are covered in prayer by more people than you can imagine. Your model of faithfulness speaks to me and, in turn, it strengthens my faith. Your openness and faithfulness have made prayers happen in our house more often because we are committed to praying for Nate. My daughter is 4 1/2 and she has never officially met Nate but he is at the top of her list of prayers. Thank you for sharing Nate with us.
I just heard about this through a lead web site we use. I'm not a very good religious person but I will be praying for him. My son is named Tate and he's the same age. This really hits home and I pray to God that he will help heal your boy or provide you with a person that can do his work for him (a doctor).
ReplyDeleteCan you guys make it to the MD Anderson Cancer center in Houston? They seem to have a lot of success and there are surrounding centers in Houston that top the list of providers.
My prayers are with all of you. I pray that god gives all of you the strength that you need.
ReplyDeleteOur family is praying for your family! Much love, peace and healing!
